Majithia pays obeisance at Golden Temple; AAP slams Channi govt for not arresting him

Chandigarh: AAP leader Raghav Chadha on Sunday slammed the Charanjit Singh Channi government in Punjab for not arresting Akali leader Bikram Singh Majithia who has been booked under the NDPS Act.

Pointing to pictures of the Akali leader surfaced on social media on Saturday showing him paying obeisance at the Golden Temple, Chadha said that Majithia is “roaming around openly” as Congress government does not want to arrest him and registering a case was just an eye wash activity ahead of the Punjab polls.

AAP have been alleging that the Channi government did not want to arrest Majithia as there was a “setting” between it and the Badals.

The Youth Akali Dal, the youth wing of the Shiromani Akali Dal, shared the leader’s photos on its official Facebook page on Saturday, which went viral on the social media as Punjab police were conducting raids at his residences to nab him after booking him a drug case.
