Chandigarh: Reacting on the dismissal of anticipatory bail plea of Akali leader Bikram Singh Majithia by High Court, Chief Minister Charanjit Singh Channi on Monday said that he has full faith in the judiciary that Majithia will pay price for his sins and annihilating the future of Punjab’s youth.

Channi said that his government had booked Majithia on the basis of a Special Task Force report on the drugs case submitted to the High Court and it has sufficient evidence to frame the former Akali minister, who during the SAD-BJP regime relentlessly committed nefarious activities to fill his coffers.

Castigating Majithia for his alleged involvement in drug peddling, CM Channi said that he has destroyed the future of youngsters in Punjab and his photos with notorious drug smugglers is a testament of his involvement with them.

“I dare Majithia and Badals to deny their links with drug peddlers including Anwar Masih, Bittu Aulakh, Jagdish Bhola, Gurdeep Ranu, Satpreet Satta, with whom they shared political stages and attended public functions on numerous occasion, ” CM said.

Lashing out at former Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh, CM Channi termed him a “chalya hoya pataka” (busted cracker).

“Captain is a venal leader and also a root cause of farmers woes, who along with SAD-BJP implemented three-farm bills,” CM said while lambasting Captain, despite being a Congress CM, he was working hand in glove with BJP and Akalis.
