Ontario: A man was killed and a woman was injured in a double-shooting in Oakville on Friday morning.
According to the police, the incident
occurred at 1:00 a.m., and cops were called on the Edward Lever Trail near Brant Road on QEW.
Police officials found two persons, man and one woman in their 20s, injured. The man was declared dead on the spot and the woman was taken to a hospital with grave injuries. The shooting took place outside a home on Belt Lane.
Police said the injured man was found on the Edward Lever Trail on Merton Road. Assailants fled before the police arrived.
“Halton Police are currently investigating a shooting in-the area of Bronte Rd and Saw Whet, Oakville. Expect a heavy police presence in the area. There is no active threat to the public. More information will be provided at a later time,” Halton police said.
