Manish Sisodia to appear in court in liquor policy case, AAP to hold nationwide protests today

New Delhi: The CBI will produce Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia, who was arrested on Sunday in connection with the Delhi liquor policy case on Monday. Sisodia was questioned by the CBI for eight hours on Sunday.

Sisodia is the second Aam Aadmi Party minister to be arrested by a central agency in less than a year. Earlier, Delhi Health Minister Satyendar Jain was arrested by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) in May 2022, he is still in jail.

Sisodia is currently in the CBI office. He will be produced at Rouse Avenue Court at 1 pm today. He will be medically examined before the appearance.

The AAP has announced protests across the country against Sisodia’s arrest. According to media reports, the CBI said after the arrest that the answer to the questions asked to Sisodia was not satisfactory.

The arrests were made for alleged irregularities in the liquor policy and for personal gain through it.
