Chandigarh: The meeting of the opposition parties convened by the Congress today over the Sidhu Moosewala murder and the law and order situation in Punjab has been postponed.
The Shiromani Akali Dal and the Bharatiya Janata Party have sought more time for the meeting. It may be recalled that the Congress had appealed to the opposition parties to unite over Sidhu Moosewala and the law and order situation in Punjab over which the meeting was called today.
Informing about the cancelling meeting, Warring wrote on his social media, “Despite urgent nature of issue of Punjab’s security & deteriorating law & order, & despite their initial consent however, for reasons best known to them @Akali_Dal_ & @BJP4Punjab have sought postponement of All Parties Meeting, scheduled for today.
Hence meeting stands postponed.”
