New Delhi: The preparations for the election for the post of Congress President have started once again, which will be held on October 17 and the Congress is expected to get a new president two days later.

But now Congress MP and rebel party leader Manish Tewari has questioned the process of Congress president election.

He has demanded that the list of voting representatives be made public. Earlier, Anand Sharma had also questioned the voter list in the CWC meeting.

Manish Tewari, a member of the G-23 in the Congress, has asked the organization election in-charge Madhusudan Mistry how the fair election will be held without making the voter list public.

Former Union Minister Tiwari said that this does not happen even in club elections. After this, the problems of the Congress seem to be increasing just before the election of the post of president.

There are about 9,000 voters for the Congress president’s election. Madhusudan Mistry says that the list of voters is in the state Congress offices and the list will be handed over to the candidates contesting the elections. Tiwari has asked whether one will have to wander in the states to contest the election of the party president.

Tiwari has also expressed apprehension that the nomination of a candidate in the presidential election may be canceled on the pretext that the proposer is not a voter. Ten proposers are required to contest the speaker’s election.
