London: The MP Margaret Ferrier has pleaded guilty of violating Covid rules by travelling on a train between Scotland and London after being asked to quarantine in September 2020 during the Covid period.

During a hearing at Glasgow Sheriff’s Court on Thursday, Ferrier, 61, admitted that she was negligent and recklessly exposed the public to the virus.

A former Member of Parliament of the Scottish National Party who is now an independent MP for Rutherglein and Hamilton West, was suspended from her party in October 2020 after a case of rule breaking surfaced.
