Navjot Sidhu released from Patiala jail in road rage case

Chandigarh: Congress leader Navjot Singh Sidhu was released from Patiala jail on Saturday evening after 10 months. He is being welcomed by a large number of his supporters.

Tight security arrangements were made by the police on the occasion. He was convicted in the road rage case.

Addressing the media on the occasion, he said that the government is in fear and does not want to hear the truth.

“Rahul Gandhi has the name of a revolution. Earlier, it was expected that Sidhu would be released in the afternoon, but his release took place at 5.53 pm. When he came out of the jail, he was wearing a sky-colored jacket.”

He was sentenced to one-year imprisonment by the Supreme Court on May 20 last year in the 1988 road rage case.
