New Delhi: The political turmoil over the presidential election continues to grow. The Bharatiya Janata Party has named Draupadi Murmu, a tribal leader from Odisha, as its presidential candidate on behalf of the NDA. On the other hand, the opposition has placed its bets on former finance minister and ex BJP leader Yashwant Sinha.
The presidential election will be held on July 19 and the results will be announced on July 21.
Meanwhile, the opposition candidate Yashwant Sinha has a Master’s degree in Political Science. After receiving his Masters degree, he also worked for some time as a teacher in Patna University.
On the other hand, NDA’s presidential candidate Draupadi Murmu comes from the Santhal family of Odisha. She received her initial education from a private school in Odisha and then earned her graduation degree in arts from Rama Devi Women’s College Bhubaneswar.
