New Zealand beat Sri Lanka by 65 runs

New Delhi: In their third match in the T20 World Cup 2022, New Zealand has won a big victory against Sri Lanka. New Zealand defeated Sri Lanka by 65 runs. With this win, New Zealand have strengthened their claim to go to the semi-finals.

Batting first, the Kiwi team scored 167 runs, in response to which Sri Lanka’s entire team was stacked on 102 runs. For New Zealand, Trent Boult took 4 wickets for 13 runs in four overs, while Glenn Phillips scored a brilliant century.

New Zealand lost their three wickets for just 15 runs. After this, Glenn Phillips and Darryl Mitchell shared an 84-run partnership for the fourth wicket. Phillips completed his second T20 International century in 61 balls. He was dismissed in the last over after scoring 104 runs in 64 balls. He hit 10 fours and four sixes in his innings. For Sri Lanka, Kasun Rajitha took the most two wickets.
