New Zealand Tour of Pakistan Abandoned Due to Security Concerns

Rawalpindi: Citing the security threat, New Zealand cricket team on Friday abandoned its ongoing tour of Pakistan.

The first ODI of thr while ball series could not start as both teams remained in their hotel rooms.

New Zealand Cricket chief executive David White, in a written statement said that it was simply not possible to continue with the tour given the advice he was receiving.

He said, “I under this will be a setback for the PCB, who have been a wonderful hosts but considering players safety, we believe this is the only responsible option.”
