Chandigarh: In a major reshuffle, Punjab government has transferred 18 senior police officer including 17 IPS in Punjab on Friday.

Interestingly, the government again transferred Gurpreet Singh Bhullar, a 2004 batch IPS officer as DIG Ropar range from DIG of recently formed Anti-Gangster Task Force (AGTF) by Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann to fight against crime and gangsters.

Sources in the police department said that many AAP MLAs had objected to appointment of Bhullar as he remained on prime posts throughout his career during both Congress and SAD-BJP governments without any break.

The only PPS officer in this list was Harkamalpreet Singh, who was transferred as Commandant 7th bn. PAP in Jalandhar.
