Ottawa: Waiting for their application approval from Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) for Permanent Residency under express entry system for over one and half year due to Covid-19, now the application would be processed within six months following steps taken by authorities to streamline the process again.
Before the Covid pandemic, mostly all files under Express were processed within six months but due to coronavirus now Non-Canadian Experience Class (CEC) Express Entry applicants are waiting for over 20 months on average to process their application.
However, in a good news for applications waiting to gaining Canadian permanent residence, IRCC recently announced that it will soon be processing all the files in a time frame and they are resuming Express Entry invitations to Federal Skilled Worker Program (FSWP) and Federal Skilled Trades Program (FSTP) candidates in early July.
The Canadian authorities imposed an embargo since December 2020 while CEC candidates have not received invitations since September 2021, however, this is not any longer be the case come July.
