Tokyo: United Nations: United Nations secretary-general Antonio Guterres today urged nuclear-armed states to stick to their commitment not to use nuclear weapons first.
The UN chief warned that the nuclear arms race has resumed amid rising global tensions.
Speaking at a news conference here, Guterres said, “That’s the moment… When nuclear-armed states have to say that they should stick to their commitment not to use nuclear weapons first.
They promise not to use these weapons or threaten non-nuclear states.
