New Delhi: Former Odisha Chief Minister and prominent tribal Congress leader Hemananda Biswal died in Bhubaneswar at the age of 82 years.
Biswal served as Chief Minister of Odisha from 7 December 1989 to 5 March 1990, and again from 6 December 1999 to 5 March 2000.
The Prime Minister, Narendra Modi has expressed deep grief over the passing away of former CM Biswal.
In a tweet, the Prime Minister said; “Anguished by the passing away of former Odisha CM Shri Hemananda Biswal Ji. He was active in public life for many years and worked extensively among people. In this sad hour, my thoughts are with his family and supporters. Om Shanti.”
