New Delhi: Olympic gold medallist Neeraj Chopra today extended his support to the protesting wrestlers and demanded immediate action from the authorities to ensure justice.
Chopra’s reaction came at a time when Indian Olympic Association president P T Usha has come under severe criticism for taking to the streets to restart their protest instead of filing a complaint against Wrestling Federation of India chief Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh.
Javelin thrower Chopra, who created history by winning India’s first Olympic gold medal in athletics, said it was sad that wrestlers were forced to take to the streets for justice.
