Ontario: The union, representing thousands of Ontario’s education workers have voted to accept the recent deal with the province government, ending a long negotiations on Monday.
The Canadian Union of Public Employees (COUPE) announced on Monday morning that 73 percent of its members had given a mandate in favor of the deal.

Laura Walton, president of the Ontario School Boards Council of Unions (OSBCU) in CUPE , said it was a very difficult task for everyone to come together and agree on the decision.
CUPE represents 55,000 educational support staff, including custodians, education assistants, early childhood educators and administrative staff.
