Over 150 US-bound passengers stranded at Amritsar airport for 24 hours, create ruckus

Chandigarh: There was a ruckus at the International Airport in Amritsar, Punjab, late on Thursday night. Passengers going to US were stranded at the airport for the last 24 hours.

During this time, they have not been allowed to go out nor have they been given correct information about the flight. The passenger shared some videos about this whole matter and gave full information.

At Amritsar airport, more than 150 passengers had booked a flight to Georgia in the US with foreign company Nios.

All passengers were checked-in at 7 pm on January 4, but from then till the night of January 5, no information about the flight was given. At the same time, the ground staff kept making an excuse that the flight was coming in 1 hour since January 4.

The flight was to take off at 12:50 am.

A passenger said that the flight was scheduled to take off at 12:50 am between January 4-5. Accordingly, they were also checked-in, but now neither the flight is known nor arrangements have been made for them to eat and drink and sleep.

Along with this, the staff present at the airport has denied the allegations to the passengers. The staff said that during the night, passengers were also asked to book the hotel but they refused to take this facility.

The Nios flight from Georgia to Amritsar airport in the US could not land at the airport due to fog, due to which the flight landed at Jaipur. At the same time, the passengers sitting in this flight also hung and made many allegations including not providing clean rooms by the flight.
