New Delhi: Following relaxation in travel norms, OYO observed whopping 134 per cent jump in weekend as over 3.1 lakh hotel bookings were done in the previous festive weekend between April 8 and 10, reports said.
This is highest weekend booking so far this year, in which Navratri and Ashtami functions fall in the country.
The last week witnessed maximum reservations as compared to national holidays that are the peak travel days including Holi, and Republic Day.
Even the previous week bookings were stupendous than Valentine’s day booking, the statement by Oyo said.
Sheerang Godbole, OYO Senior Vice President – Product & Chief Service Officer said that this rise is due to relaxation in covid restrictions and easing air travel bans, extended weekends along with summer vacations led to gigantic bookings.
