Chandigarh: SAD President Sukhbir Singh Badal on Wednesday formally announced that his father and SAD patron Parkash Singh Badal as party’s candidate from the Badal family’s traditional seat of Lambi in Muktsar.
Since 1997, Badal has contested and won from Lambi, as many as five times.
Though the former CM will contest the elections but Sukhbir will be the CM face for the Akali Dal this time, a senior SAD leader said.
