Passengers cheer as Air India flight comes home from Ukraine

New Delhi: Amid rising conflict in Ukraine, India started an air bridge to bring back its nationalist from Ukraine on Tuesday.

Union minister minister Nirmala Sitharaman also cautioned of rising prices od crude oil amidst deepening crises that could pose a serious threat to India’s financial stability.

The Air India plane’s 787 aircraft landed carrying 240 Indians from Ukraine at the Delhi airport. The government has allowed private flights and chartered aircraft to evacuate about 20,000 Indians, including some in the breakaway regions of Donetsk and Luhansk which were recognised by Russia.

Meanwhile, Air India shared a video on Twitter in which passengers could be seen cheering, clapping and showing the victory sign.
