Petitions regarding promises of free services should be placed before a three-member bench: SC

New Delhi: The Supreme Court today ordered the listing of petitions involving promises of free services by political parties before a three-judge bench.

The bench headed by Chief Justice NV Ramanna said that it was argued that S. A 2013 judgment by a two-judge bench of the Supreme Court in Subramaniam Balaji v. The Government of Tamil Nadu and other cases require a review.
