Ottawa: Prime Minister Justin Trudeau will visit Jamaica Christmas to spend a week’s vacation with his family.
According to information provided by the Prime Minister’s Office, Trudeau will be in constant touch with Ottawa during this visit and he will continue to be briefed on all issues.
The PMO has also said that it has already contacted the Federal Ethics Commissioner in this regard before travel so that there is no violation of any kind of guidelines.
In 2017, Trudeau was embroiled in a breach of conflict of interest rules due to his holiday on Aga Khan’s private island in the Bahamas.
