Ottawa: Prime Minister Justin Trudeau has arrived in Bali, Indonesia to participate in the upcoming G-20 summit.
Leaders of the world’s 20 largest economies meet every year to find a common solution to the threats to the global economic system and discuss issues such as climate change and nuclear safety. Indonesia, which is hosting the summit this time, has asked world leaders to focus on improving the health system as well as food and energy security.
Meanwhile, regarding the ongoing war in Ukraine, Toronto said that at the time when Russian President Vladimir Putin made a “very big and blunder” by attacking his neighbor and peaceful country.
Trudeau’s remarks came at the end of the Summit of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations in Cambodia.
Despite the dispute, some G-20 countries say they want to maintain relations with Russia.
During the ongoing conflict with Ukraine in the last months, China, India and South Africa have withdrawn from the resolution passed to condemn the United Nations against Russia and now the leaders of these countries are also reaching out to participate in this summit.
