Ottawa: Prime Minister Justin Trudeau tweaked his cabinet Wednesday, swapping portfolios of ministers Philomena Tasi and Helena Jazac to each other in a small cabinet reshuffle.

In a minor reshuffle, Jazac has been appointed Canada’s new Minister of Public Service and Procurement, while Tassi has been appointed as the Federal Economic Development Agency Minister for Southern Ontario. The reshuffle follows Tassi’s request to spend more time in Southern Ontario due to some family reasons. At the same time, Trudeau also made it clear that he had no desire to reshuffle his cabinet.

“It’s been less than a year since the election and our government is working very hard to help Canadians in every way possible,” Trudeau said after Governor-General Mary Simon handed over her office to the two ministers. We will continue this kind of hard work.

On this occasion, Tasi clarified that her husband had received two strokes early last year and it is very important to take care of his health. That is why he reached out to the Prime Minister and sought such help.
