Police arrested protesters that remained at US-Canada bridge

Ottawa: Windsor Police have made arrests at the foot of the Ambassador Bridge in Windsor here to clear the blocked roads by truckers and people protesting against Covid-19 vaccination.

“Enforcement actions continue at the demonstration area with arrests being made. Vehicles being towed. Please continue avoiding the area,” the Windsor Police tweeted.

A court had ordered protests to leave the roads but some pedestrians continued with protests while rasing slogans of freedom ans chanting national anthem of Canada.

Following this, police made arrests to ensure that no roads remained blocked after issuing many warning to protestors, officials said.

“I convened the Incident Response Group again today – we went over the efforts underway to address the illegal blockades and occupations. We’ll continue to make sure municipal, provincial, and federal authorities have what they need to end the blockades and protect public safety,” said Prime Minister Justin Trudeau.
