New Delhi: West Bengal Chief Minister and Trinamool Congress chief Mamata Banerjee today suggested the names of Mahatma Gandhi’s grandson Gopalkrishna Gandhi and National Conference patron Farooq Abdullah for the presidential candidate during a meeting of opposition parties here.
National Congress Party chief Sharad Pawar was urged to contest for the prestigious post during the meeting, but he had denied it.
Meanwhile, the next meet of opposition leaders to take place on June 21.
