Prime Minister Khan seeks elections in Pakistan, Opposition moves court

Islamabad: Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan, in a stunning move, asked President to dissolve the national assembly, during a brief address in stormy Parliament session on Sunday.

He announced fresh polls after his last-minute dismissal of the no-trust motion.

Meanwhile, the opposition, however, threatened to move court for dismissal of no-confidence motion against Imran Khan.

Khan asked the President to dissolve parliament that is now leading to fresh political instability in Pakistan within 90 days.

Khan had lost majority mark in 342 members national assembly and made a brief address in Parliament session today before asking President for a fresh polls in the country.
