Chandigarh: Punjab Chief Minister Charanjit Singh Channi on Thursday announced that his government will ply free buses for pilgrims to visit the Kartarpur corridor from all over the state.

Channi also thanked the Pakistan and Indian Prime Minister for reopening the Corridor after a year. The corridor was opened for pilgrims to visit the Gurdwara Darbar Sahib Kartarpur in Pakistan in 2019, however, it was closed last year due to coronavirus pandemic.

Channi on his official twitter handle said, “Dedicated to 552nd Parkash Purab of Guru Nanak Dev ji, We will run free buses for pilgrims to #kartarpurcorridor from across the Punjab. I wholeheartedly thank PM @narendramodi ji and Pakistan PM @ImranKhanPTI ji for reopening the Corridor.”
