New Delhi: Indian Premier League (IPL) franchise Punjab Kings can go with a new head coach in the upcoming season. In fact, the contract of the team’s current head coach Anil Kumble will end in September. According to the report, the franchise will not renew his contract.

Punjab Kings have not won the title so far in the history of IPL. Not only this, this team has not reached the playoffs since 2014. In IPL 2014, Punjab Kings (then Kings XI Punjab) reached the final and finished runners-up.

According to media reports, Punjab Kings will not extend the contract of their head coach Anil Kumble. There are also reports that veterans like Eoin Morgan and Trevor Bayliss have been approached for this special role.

Eoin Morgan recently said goodbye to international cricket. He will be seen playing in the Legends League to be held in India in September. Players who have retired from international cricket participate in this league. He has also played for a long time in the IPL. At the same time, he has also been the captain of KKR.

Chandrakant Pandit appointed KKR coach

Earlier, Kolkata Knight Riders have appointed Chandrakant Pandit, the renowned coach of domestic cricket, as their head coach in place of Brendon McCullum. Chandrakant Pandit won the Ranji Trophy title for Madhya Pradesh under his coaching. McCullum is now the head coach of England’s Test team. For this reason, he had to leave his post in KKR.
