Chandigarh: Aam Aadmi Party government has ordered to withdraw security cover of 184 former ministers and former MLAs and some other leaders in the state.
In a circular sent to senior police officials including police commissioners and SSPs, the government asked to immediately remove the security cover of various Congress, SAD, BJP and former AAP leaders.
Prominent among those whose security withdraw is former ministers Surjit Kumar Rakhra, Sucha Singh Chhotepur, Janmeja Singh Sekhon, Bibi Jagir Kaur, Madan Mohan Mittal, Tota Singh and Gulzar Singh Ranike.
Moreover, security cover family members of former CM and other ministers was also withdrawn.
