Chandigarh: The Congress has released its first list of 86 candidates for the upcoming assembly polls in Punjab.
Chief minister Charanjit Singh Channi to contest from Chamkaur Sahib, while the party has filed Punjab chief Navjot Singh Sidhu from Amritsar East.
MP and senior leader Pratap Singh Bajwa to contest from Qadian and singer Sidhu Moosewala from Mansa. Also Sonu Sood’s sister Malvika Sood, to contest from Moga.
Meanwhile, the party has almost given ticket to sitting MLAs in the state even though Sidhu was inclined to replace some leaders, who were loyal to former chief minister Capt Amarinder Singh.
