Punjabi youth stabbed to death in Canada’s Surrey

Ottawa: An Indian-origin man was stabbed to death in a brawl in the parking lot of a high school in Surrey, Canada.

Mehakpreet Sethi (18) died in hospital after being attacked outside Tamanawis Secondary School in Newton area on Tuesday. According to media reports, there was a fight between Sethi and the 17-year-old boy.

It is believed that both of them knew each other and the alleged attacker is from the Indian community.

Victim was taken into custody after being identified by witnesses. According to the statement of the acting principal of the school, Sethi was absent from the school.
