New Delhi: Punjab’s discus throw player Kamalpreet Kaur has failed the dope test on Thursday. Kamalpreet has been found guilty of consuming the banned drug Stanozolol. Following which she has been temporarily suspended by the Athletics Integrity Unit.
Kamalpreet can be suspended for a maximum of four years if found guilty during an inquiry. This has been informed in a tweet by World Athletics.
Kaur stunned everyone with her performance in the discus throw event of the Tokyo Olympics and she entered the finals.
Kaur is a resident of Badal village in Punjab’s Sri Muktsar Sahib district.
