Chandigarh: Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, who arrived in Hoshiarpur on the 5th day of the Bharat Jodo Yatra in Punjab, targeted the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) government for the first time. He said that CM Bhagwant Mann should not become the remote control of Arvind Kejriwal sitting in Delhi.

At the end of the address, Rahul Gandhi said, “Every state of India has history. The language of every region has its own history, way of living. Punjab should be run from Punjab. Punjab should not be run from Delhi.

I want to tell Punjab CM… I want to tell Bhagwant Mann.. You are the CM of Punjab. Punjab should be run from Punjab… ”

He further said, “Don’t come under pressure from Kejriwal. It is a matter of respect for Punjab. You should work by listening to your farmers and labourers. No one should have a remote control. Punjab used to run from here in the Congress government.”

This was Rahul Gandhi’s first address after the death of Congress MP Chaudhary Santokh Singh during a visit to Jalandhar.
