JAIPUR: In a tragic road accident, 11 people of an extended family were killed while 7 others sustained injured when a pick-up jeep overturned after colliding with a stationary tractor near Udaipur wati-Gudha road in Jhunjhunu.
According to the police, the family were returning from Lohargal village after immersing the ashes of their 60-year-old relative when the accident took place.
The Prime Minister, Narendra Modi expressed deep grief over the loss of lives due to tragic accident in Jhunjhunu, Rajasthan.
Modi also announced an ex-gratia of Rs. 2 Lakhs to the next kin of the deceased and Rs. 50,000 to those injured in the accident from Prime Minister’s National Relief Fund (PMNRF).
