Ram Rahim seeks parole for third time, likely to reach Barnawa Ashram

Chandigarh: Dera Sacha Sauda chief Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh, who is serving a sentence in Haryana’s Sunaria jail in connection with a sadhvi sexual abuse case, is coming to Barnawa Ashram in Baghpat on January 21 on parole for the third time.

He has been granted parole for the third time within a year.

Ram Rahim has sought 40-day parole through an application to the Haryana Jail Department.

Preparations have begun for the Dera chief to come to the ashram. On June 17, 2022, Gurmeet reached Barnawa Ashram before Sunaria jail on a 30-day parole. He returned to the Barnawa Ashram on October 15 on a 40-day parole. He had celebrated Diwali in the ashram itself.

He has once again sought permission from the Haryana government for parole for 40 days. A report was sought from the Baghpat police in this regard. Police station Binauli has sent its report to the Haryana administration by keeping it confidential.

Binauli police station in-charge Saleem Ahmed said the Dera chief has got parole. He will come to The Barnawa Ashram.

The date of his arrival is yet to be decided. The incarnation day of the dera’s second gadinsheen Shah Satnam Singh Maharaj is on January 25. If the followers are to be believed, then this incarnation day will be celebrated at Gurmeet Singh Barnawa Ashram.
