Sacrilege Case: Dera head Gurmeet grilled for six hours by SIT

Chandigarh: A special investigation team of Punjab police has grilled Dera Sacha Sauda head Gurmeet Ram Rahim for the second time in five weeks related the sacrilege case at Sunaria jail in Haryana’s Rohtak.
The SIT, headed by IG Surinder Pal Singh Parmar, posed 89 questions to the dera head in nearly six hours but was not satisfied with his replies, said sources.
The SIT will submit its report in the Punjab and Haryana high court before December 17.
Dera head lodged in a rape and two murder cases, on November 8.
Earlier, SIT, headed by former DIG Ranbir Singh Khattra, had nominated Gurmeet in the case of theft of the Bir of Guru Granth Sahib from Burj Jawhar Singh Wala village gurdwara in Faridkot on June 1, 2015.
