New Delhi: The CBI is questioning Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia today in connection with the excise policy case.
Sisodia, however, termed it a political vendetta and said that the case being run against me is fake.
Officials said that Sisodia reached the CBI headquarters at 11.15 am. He was taken straight to the anti-corruption branch office on the first floor. After completing necessary formalities, they are being questioned in connection with Delhi’s excise policy, their links with those named in the FIR and documents recovered during the raids, they said.
In the FIR, Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia, the then Commissioner (Excise) Arwa Gopi Krishna, the then Deputy Commissioner (Excise) Anand Tiwari, and Assistant Commissioner (Excise) Pankaj Bhatnagar have been accused of taking decisions related to the excise policy for the year 2021-22 and getting undue advantage.
AAP working have been protesting outside the CBI office.
Following this, the police have started warning AAP leaders and workers sitting outside the CBI office that they should immediately move out of here or else they will have to be forcibly removed. The police are preparing for action. People have been started to be removed and AAP MP Sanjay Singh along with some other workers have been detained.
