SC orders release of convict AG Perarivalan after 30 years in Rajiv Gandhi assassination case

New Delhi: Convicted in the Rajiv Gandhi assassination case, AG Perarivalan has been released by the Supreme Court on Wednesday.

He has been in prison for more than 30 years under a life sentence.

Judge L. A bench headed by Nageswara Rao has ordered the release of Perarivalan in exercise of his human right under Section 142. He along with Murugan and Santhan convicted in the same case.
