New Delhi: The Supreme Court on Friday refused to hear a plea challenging the Bureau of Civil Aviation Security’s (BCAS) decision to allow Sikh passengers to carry kirpan on domestic flights operating from domestic terminals.
A bench of Justices Abdul Nazeer and JK Maheshwari granted liberty to the petitioner to approach the high court concerned. The petitioner then withdrew the petition.
Earlier, in March, Sikhs were allowed to carry kirpan within airport premises.
