Scuffle breaks out between locals and Punjabi tourists in Manikaran

Mandi: Some tourists from Punjab allegedly created a ruckus at Manikaran in Kullu district on Sunday night. A video of the incident has gone viral on social media, in which some tourists are seen creating a ruckus and throwing stones at the houses. They also allegedly thrashed some locals, triggering panic. Manikaran is a popular religious and tourist destination. Kullu SP Sakshi Verma said they are collecting information about the hooligans and action will be taken.

After that argument, a clash broke out between locals and devotees. Some vehicles parked on the roadside were also damaged. The SP said the situation was under control and there was no damage to the gurdwara. Meanwhile, Himachal DGP Sanjay Kundu said that all tourists and devotees are welcome in Himachal Pradesh. He also spoke to Punjab DGP Gaurav Yadav. In a tweet, Gaurav Yadav said that the situation in Manikaran is peaceful.
