Chandigarh: Rabinder Narayan, MD of PTC TV channel, has been sent to judicial custody by the Mohali court.
He has been held by Punjab police recently, in a Miss Punjaban case, on the complaint of a contestant.
Complaint alleged that she was locked up in a hotel room and was abused by the PTC staff. The PTC organizes beauty competitions every year.
Narayan has been arrested from his residence in Gurgaon.
According to sources, in the case registered, one of the complainants had alleged that in the name of Miss Punjabi woman of PTC channel, the girls were called and kept in hotels, where they were presented to the wealthy and influential people.
Meanwhile, police investigation is under way and it is yet to be ascertained which big leaders and big officials are involved in this case,police officials said.
