SGPC to open hospital in Jalandhar

Jalandhar: The Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (SGPC) is going to construct a super-speciality hospital in Jalandhar.

A Sikh devotee, Joginder Singh, has donated 26 kanals for development of the hospital in Jalandhar and the construction work would be began soon. The hospital will be dedicated to Guru Ramdas,” said SGPC chief Bibi Jagir Kaur said.

She said that to commemorate the events related to Parkash Purb of Guru Ramdas on October 22, a nagar kirtan would be organised that to start from Akal Takht and pass through the old city and culminate at the Golden Temple. Similarly, ‘raag darbar’ and ‘kirtan samagam’ would be organised on the night of October 21. On October 22, jalau (grandeur) would be decorated at the Golden Temple, Akal Takht and gurdwara Baba Atal Rai Sahib.
