Paris: Three people have been killed and three others wounded after gunman opened fire in central Paris on Friday.
According to the information, the gunman had been arrested. Paris police appealed to people to stay away from this area.
A witness said that the gunman fired seven or eight shots, causing chaos on the road. The injured have been rushed to a nearby hospital. The condition of three of the injured is said to be critical.
A shopkeeper in the area told media that he had heard seven or eight shots fired at rue de Angelina in the 10th arena, “We were completely panicked. We locked ourselves inside.”
French police officials said it was not immediately clear why the gunman opened fire. The investigation is underway.
