SIU called in after two men killed during ‘police-involved’ collision in Hamilton

Ontario: The Ontario Special Investigations Unit was called in after two people were killed in a “police-involved” collision in downtown Hamilton.

The accident occurred at 11:00 p.m. on John Street near Young Street in the City’s Corktown area.

According to the Hamilton Police Service, two passengers were killed during an attempted traffic stop for possible impaired driving.

So far no information has been received regarding the dead. Two other people injured in the mishap.

The matter is being investigated by the police. Due to the accident, these roads have been closed and drivers are being advised not to go to this side.

Halton police are also cooperating in the investigation.
