Chandigarh: The Samyukt Kisan Morcha (SKM) will submit a memorandum to Punjab Governor Banwarilal Purohit on November 26. Kisan Morcha leaders and other farmers will gather at Gurdwara Amb Sahib in Mohali on November 26. Preparations are being made for this. Then from here, on Saturday, there will be a march to Punjab Raj Bhavan.
Davinder Singh Dehkalan, district president and Jaspal Singh, general secretary of Bhartiya Kisan Union Lakhowal, said that the central government has broken the promises with the farmers.
The cases registered against the farmers were also not canceled nor has any justice been received from the central government in the tragic incident of Lakhmipur Kheri. This has caused great resentment among the farmers.
A list of demands will be submitted to the Governor regarding the atrocities committed on farmers. On this occasion, he has also appealed to the farmer-laborer brotherhood to join the march.
