New Delhi: Former BCCI president Sourav Ganguly has given important advice to India’s star wicketkeeper-batsman Rishabh Pant (Rishba) that he should take full time to fully recover from his injuries before starting the exercise of returning to competitive cricket.
In December last year, Pant was injured in a road accident. He is currently in the process of recovering after treatment for his injuries.
Former India captain Ganguly said the Delhi Capitals franchise will definitely miss their wicket-keeper batsman in the upcoming Indian Premier League season. Pant has been the captain of Delhi Capitals for the last few seasons. Ganguly is associated with this team as director of cricket.
Ganguly said in a release issued by the IPL franchise, “I am sure that the national team is also missing him. He is young and has a lot of time left in his career. He is a special player and he should take his full time to recover completely. Ganguly has been monitoring the fitness of all the players during the team’s pre-season camp at the Arun Jaitley Stadium ahead of the IPL 2023 edition.”
