Colombo: Cabinet minister in Sri Lanka has resigned with immediate effect late on Sunday night amid turmoil in the country over economic crisis.
Leader of the house Dinesh Gunawardena, talking to media said that all the Cabinet Ministers submitted their resignations to Prime Minister Mahinda Rajapaksa and he did not clarify anh reason for the mass resignation.
However, political experts here said that they were under immense pressure from locals over government’s mishandling of economic crisis effectively.
