New Delhi: In Ayurveda, cholesterol is not considered as bad as it is considered in other medical practices. Because Ayurveda believes that cholesterol acts as an essential amount of ointment for the body, especially for the blood circulation system. But the problem is only when cholesterol starts accumulating in the body.

In Ayurveda, Ama is called the one substance that comes out during metabolic activities. It is sticky and foul smelly.

Ama accumulates in the fat tissue of the body for a long time and when its amount increases, it also spreads to other tissues of the body, which hinders blood flow and causes problems like high BP and high cholesterol.
